2010 PACC Trade, Investment and Humanitarian Mission to the Philippines PDF Print E-mail

Dear FPACC Colleagues:

Here is our official announcement of our PACC Trade, Investment and Humanitarian Mission to Calabarzon on January 11 to 15, 2010. PLEASE CIRCULATE to your membership as like before, we are opening this mission to all members of Phil-Am Chambers in the U.S. and Canada.  Last time, we had delegates from eight states and two Canadian provinces. Because of the tight timing, we will appreciate it if you can share this with everyone you know. We have less than 20 slots left.  This is a requested encore of our highly-successful Trade Mission two years ago that our hosts in the government and business sectors raved about.

As suggested, we will be happy to make this a joint project with the Pacific Northwest Chamber of Commerce whose members are going to Cebu, even without the NaFFAA Global Conference.  They can join us in Calabarzon after Cebu, and likewise, we will promote the Cebu Mission also to our participants.

One additional objective in our January mission is humanitarian. PACC has adopted several barangays that were badly hit by typhoon Ondoy. We plan to spend our last day in Marikina, Cainta and other devastated towns of Rizal and with the help of our sister Chambers, visit and extend financial assistance and donate wheelchairs and medical supplies. This will be a fitting highlight of the trip. The sixth day (golf outing) is optional. Practically all expenses, including 5-night stay in a first-class hotel, transportation and most meals will be covered by the $745 participation fee.

The U.S. Federation of Philippine American Chambers of Commerce, Inc., is a not for profit corporation incorporated under the not for profit laws of California. It has 42 chapter members from all over the United States mainland to include Hawaii. Incorporated in 1997, it bridges US Philippines trade and commerce, promotes goodwill and mutually beneficial projects between the two countries. It holds an annual conference in the US and one trade mission a year to the Philippines. It currently has several major Memorandums of Agreement with major Public and Private sector departments of the Philippines, including a major one with the US-SBA.
